About Me

My photo
Varshini
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
I am a 32 year old Ophthalmologist specializing in paediatric eye disorders and squint. I am married and have an 18 month old son.I am the most anti social person I know and on principle boycott all social networking sites . I have a long list of things I loathe about Delhi ranging from the pathetic traffic situation to the ubiquitous diamond solitaire earrings. I have a shorter list of things I love about Delhi including the street food and the beautiful ruins in hidden little nooks. I wish I lived up a minaret on the Jama Masjid and watched parrots for a living. The birth of my son made me realize that life moves so fast that I am going to be an incontinent 80 year old before I know it and I’d like to remember how a December morning walk felt like. So, I started writing this blog. And to keep things moving, I have shifted to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a couple of years. Addis Ababa ! That is pretty much like moving to Casablanca or Timbuktu. I will continue to blog on life in Addis, raising a child here and of course, ophthalmology.
